Frequently Asked Questions
Pull out the two clips on both sides that hold the top of the machine to the drum, then, using the handle lift off the machine top (POWER HEAD). Lift out the main white filter and remove the dust bag from the tube inside the drum. The genuine Numatic dust bag has a sealing tab, which allows you to keep the dust in the bag once full. Push the tab into the hole and dispose of the full bag. (note some filters may differ in texture and colour)
Take a new bag, making sure it is not stuck together by gently pulling the front and the back of the new bag apart to open it out.
With the writing on top, push the rubber seal of the bag over the tube inside the drum as far as it can go. Put the main white filter back into the drum placing it on top of the bag, then refit the machine top (POWER HEAD). Lock the top back on to the drum by pressing the two clips on both sides inwards so they are flush with the rest of the trim.
If the machine is starting to feel heavy, or the suction is low, this maybe an indication the bag needs replacing.
Once the bag has become full, follow the above steps, (How do I fit/change the replacement dust bag.) Genuine Numatic dust bags have been designed to be sealed and then disposed of, they are not reusable.
Pull out the two clips on both sides that hold the top of the machine to the drum, then, using the handle lift off the machine top (POWER HEAD). Lift out the white filter. You can place the white filter into an empty bin bag, holding the filter with your hand and the top of the bag, then give it a shake in the bag. This can remove some dust from the filter.
You can also take the white filter outside and brush it with a stiff brush. Put the white filter back into the drum placing it on top of the bag, then refit the machine top (POWER HEAD). Lock the top back on to the drum by gently knocking the two clips on both sides inwards so they are flush with the rest of the trim. (note some filters may differ in texture and colour)
The main white filter and bags are not washable. Please see (How do I clean the white filter) (note some filters may differ in texture and colour)

If the blockage is not visible, remove the hose and try gently pushing a broom handle or garden cane down the hose from either end, this should free anything blocked. If the blockage is in one of the metal pipes, try using something flexible to free the obstruction. Some floor tools have an inspection flap, this can sometimes help to show a blockage.
With Henry switched on, try using just the end of the suction hose on the underside of the floortool. This can also help remove blockages.
Henry and friends are fitted with a thermal cut out. This might cut in if the machine has been running for an extended period of time. If the machine feels hot, allow it to cool down for up to an hour. Once cooled down the machine should reset itself.
Take your Henry to a qualified electrical service engineer who can replace the cable for you.
Your accessories kit contains a tapered adaptor. By fitting this to the angled end of your suction hose, any of the accessories can be attached. These can also be viewed in the instruction guide that came with the machine.
The two settings allow you to change from Hard flooring to carpet. The bristles should not be visible for use on carpets and visable for use on hard flooring.
The Airobush is very good at picking up hair and occasionally the hair can collect around the brush. This can be removed by gently cutting the length of the brush with scissors. Being careful not to cut any bristles. Turn the brush by hand to another position and repeat the process.
